For mango puree
  • 60 g mango
For Greek yogurt
  • 100 g / ½ cup hung curd
  • Mango puree
  • 1 tsp / 12 g honey
  • Pistachio, chopped for garnishing

Method

For making mango puree
  1. Place the diced mango pieces into a blender or grinder jar.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, with no visible chunks remaining.
  3. This should yield approximately ¼ cup of mango purée.
  4. Transfer the purée to a bowl and set aside.
For making Greek yogurt
  1. Add the hung curd to a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the prepared mango purée along with the honey.
  3. Stir well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the mixture has a uniform colour and texture.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped pistachio.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to chill.

Notes

  • Use ripe, naturally sweet mangoes for the best flavour.
  • Ensure the curd is well-drained to achieve a thick, creamy Greek yogurt consistency.
  • Adjust the amount of honey according to the sweetness of the mango and your personal preference.
  • You can use powdered sugar instead of honey depending on your preference.
  • For added texture and nutrition, top with other nuts or seeds such as almonds, walnuts, or chia seeds.
  • Chilling the yogurt before serving enhances its taste and makes it more refreshing.
  • This recipe can be prepared a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
