Method
Preparing the Avocado Spread
- Scoop the avocado flesh into a bowl and mash it with a fork until smooth yet slightly chunky.
- Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and keep aside.
Toasting the Walnuts
- Heat a tawa or pan on medium flame.
- Dry-roast the walnuts, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
- Remove once lightly golden and set aside to cool.
Making the Toast
- Heat a pan or tawa and lightly brush it with olive oil.
- Place the bread slice on the pan and toast until golden brown.
- Brush a little olive oil on the other side, flip, and toast until crisp and evenly browned.
- Remove the toast from the pan and spread the avocado mixture evenly over it.
- Top with cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, roasted walnuts, and raisins.
- Sprinkle chilli flakes and oregano over the top.
- Finish with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use ripe avocados for a creamy, flavourful spread.
- Serve immediately, as avocado turns brown quickly when exposed to air.
- Use any bread instead of sourdough bread.
- Adjust toppings and seasoning based on personal preference.
